If you like the blogs, you'll LOVE the book!

TheBrains: a guided journal for talking to the helpers in your head   will be available in late September 2021.    Your Right Brain lights up when you are doing something creative or have strong feelings. Your Left Brain lights up when you are doing it in an organized way or want to talk about it. When your creative self and your organized self work together you can achieve wonderful things. This guided journal will teach you how to tap into both sides of your brain to unleash your creativity and channel it into action.     This half book/half journal explains how to use both hands to record a conversation between your Right Brain and your Left Brain. The book part contains background in Right Brain/Left Brain theory and research and a step-by-step process for getting those brains to talk to each other.  TheBrains  share excerpts from some of their past blogs that demonstrate how to use this process to deal with procrastination, diet, ...

TheBrains - Emojified

Image
Hi there! It's me! Right Brain - all emojified and looking to see if Blogger is going to show me to my best advantage. This is looking pretty good.    And here I am, Left Brain - in contrasting color. This looks like it's going to work And I get to be the good guy this time around after years of being a devil over on Spark People Hmmm. It looks like there is still a bit of learning curve with formatting - but at least we know we show up here.  And honey - you'll always be a bit of a devil. Heh heh - yeah - I always did like that hint of mischief.  Okay - let's post this and get to werk on the business side of TheBook.

TheBrains are inching forward with TheBook

The process of tapping into your subconscious by stimulating the right and left hemispheres of the brain is tremendous fun and I have long wanted to share it with all of the people who have enjoyed TheBrains' blog posts over on SparkPeople. In recent weeks I have written a combination book and journal, co-authored by TheBrains of course, that gives a bit of the scholarly research behind the process, some background on how I began playing with the process, the 8 short steps for you to take so you can tap into YourBrains, and some examples, taken from my SparkPeople blog posts demonstrating how I've used the process. And yes, I did include the blog SUGAR BINGE, that dealt with how TheBrains helped after I had an emotional melt-down when my husband suffered a heart attack. That is the book part. The journal is a modest number of blank pages for you to experiment with opening up a conversation with YourBrains to help you deal with some of life's little problems. Why modest? ...

Dropping Off The Edge Of The Earth

I had no intention of  disappearing when I started teasing you all with images of TheBrains last June.  Though I was very busy for a few days, putting together a party for the 4th, I expected to be right back here with More News on July 5. Instead I developed vertigo and spent the next few days having quality time with my doctor who, fortunately taught me something called the Epley maneuver that reset the crystals in my ear. The vertigo left in about 24 hours, just in time for a deluge of civic activity to compete for time with creativity. It was 3 weeks till TheBrains could get back to you and by then - things had both changed and developed. Time for me to share with you what's coming up with TheBrains and Me (TheBoss). First off - Brain Bogging will continue after Spark. I've had blogspot blogs for 20 years so it was easy to give TheBrains a platform there. Until August 17 I'll be putting duplicate posts here and on the Spark blog https://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pub...

How About Some Input?

For all my Spark Friends who worried about missing out on the Adventures of TheBrains and TheBoss, this will be their new home - at least for the foreseable . They've been sneaking about the old Sparkpeople website on BESSHAILE's Sparkpage blog, teasing a little with their new image, but also working pretty hard in the background, saving all their old posts. Since there were 1,009 of them, this has taken a bit of time but not only do they feel these posts are an important bit of their history - they have something wonderful planned for a few selected blog posts that YOU will have a chance to enjoy. Soon. But Later. Or sooner or later.  In the meantime, they have a question for any readers. Please feel free to comment in the comment section below. (at least, we think it's below)  So here we are, naked.  How do you feel about that? I feel okay - after all, we're BRAINS. But what do you  think about being clothed? I really ove this Me-Tarzan outfit -  tres w...
